Capacity
Our present operational capacity is 12. With physical improvements, we shall increase this to 20 next year, including arrangements for women.

Application for admission to Home
Applications are normally made on behalf of the PWA by the hospital medical social worker in charge, on ascertaining that the latter is in the appropriate medical category to stay with us and is homeless and destitute. But application may also be made directly by the person or on his (or her) behalf by a relative or friend. All applications are evaluated independently and decided by our Management Committee.

In-Residence Care
We provide the following integrated services:

  • We care for their physical needs, providing living facilities, food and clothes.
  • We befriend and counsel them, providing emotional and spiritual support and diversional therapies.
  • Where appropriate and able, we assist them to meet their medicinal needs.
  • Where relevant we motivate and help them acquire skills to re-join the work force.

As our aim is to help them re-join society, out-reach to their families and to employers constitute a vital component of our work. Follow up and after-care constitute equally important concerns.
